Qi Gong & Tai Chi Immersion Course (20HRS + Certificate)


La Negra is pleased to offer courses in traditional Taoist healing arts presented by Aknanda Healing Arts once per month in December, January and February 2018–19.  We at La Negra Surf Hotel have realized that qi gong is a natural compliment to surfing, providing significantly more energy, balance, focus and spiritual presence in the ocean.  The following courses are open to the public and La Negra Surf Hotel guests.  

Tai Chi Chuan is the most popular style of Qi Gong. Tai Chi Chuan is a series of soft, slow and effortless movements that help relieve our nervous and muscular tension.  It lubricates our joints and promotes automatic body alignment for a solid center of gravity, animating our daily activities and enhancing the ability to have quick physical action and reflexes in everyday life.  The relaxation of the movements reduces perceived stress and promotes peaceful feelings which nurture the human soul.  It is also great for body training, and you will strength and stretch ligaments, tendons and muscles.  A powerful integration of deeply restorative and fully supported flow to awaken self-centering energy, this practice combines movement, breathing techniques and powerful Qi Flow to gain a body, mind and spirit connection opening the pathways of vitality, longevity and harmony.  All levels are welcome.

  • Tai Chi Short Form (Complete form for daily routine Yang & Quan Style)

  • 4 Gates breathing

  • Qi Gong & Tai Chi Theory (Tao Philosophy)

  • Three Treasures Meditation
